Merino wool care instructions

Merino wool loves the cold, freezing weather, so placing them outdoors to air is great. Do not wash merino wool clothing - so airing them out is often enough. By washing, you shorten the usage life of the garment or you can even ruin it. If there is a stain on the garment, wash the stain separately with, for example, gall soap. If the garment must be washed, use a wool or delicate washing program and a detergent suitable for wool.

Merino wool won't start to smell even if it gets wet like the most common artificial fibers. Natural drying by airing is the right way. When you buy Merino wool, you get a friend for life if it is properly cared for.

Is Merino wool itchy?

If you find regular sheep wool itchy, choose Merino wool. Merino wool is mostly produced in New Zealand and Australia, as well as in South Africa and Argentina. There are numerous wool qualities, and each quality has its own special characteristics. Normal sheep's wool is far more coarse.

The thinnest and softest types of wool are merino wool, angora and cashmere. Cashmere and merino do not itch in the same way that coarse sheep's wool does. If there's something more you wish to know about Merino wool or any concerns about it, our customer service will be happy to answer all your questions.
